After going through a miscarriage she decided to studied midwifery in a very busy birth center in El Paso (±700 birth/year) near the Mexican border. She witnesses many times over the effect of the maternal emotional state on the pregnancy, labor and birth. A more relaxed, joyful and rooted emotional state leads to better perinatal outcomes. In the same way, the maternal mental state will influence fetal experiences allowing space for a healthier, self-confident human being.
